Case-Based Decision Support;
Communications of the ACM, Vol. 41, No. 5, pp. 157-165, May
This paper presents and illustrates an approach for effectively integrating case-based reasoning (CBR) techniques into systems supporting human decision making. CBR techniques are encapsulated in an autonomous agent which is able to assume the role of an adviser or of a story teller in order to facilitate and stimulate the decision-making process (by using stored cases of prior decision/problem solutions) and to incrementally enhance its knowledge by observing and storing current problem solving behaviours of decision makers.

Identity {R}Evolution – Multi-Disciplinary Perspectives;
Booklet - FIDIS deliverable 2.12, May 2009
The first part of this booklet presents several possible futuristic scenarios, some of them in the near future, within the next 20 years, others in the long-term, e.g., to explore the areas of human enhancement and robotics. The second part of this booklet is meant as a teaser to discover the FIDIS Summit book “The Future of Identity in the Information Society – Opportunities and Challenges”, a complete document published by Springer that offers a synthesis of the main achievements of FIDIS.

Identity in a Networked World – Use Cases and Scenarios;
Booklet- FIDIS deliverable 2.6, October 2006
The goal of this deliverable is the creation of a high quality output for public diffusion, i.e. starting from the technically challenging contributions in D2.2 towards a more 'digestible' and more attractive form for a wider public, not necessarily specialised. Hence seven articles have been elaborated to a form appropriate for the special needs.
