Objectives

The objective of this workpackage is to validate the solution produced in this project with real groups of users. The organization of the pilots will include all the elements that contribute to making the experience successful such as:

• Informing, evangelising, and training the users (end-user, teachers & coordinators).
• The technical deployment of the prototype.
• The organization of the evaluation as defined by WP4.

Pilots will be developed iteratively, starting with simple prototypes that still allow the introduction of the system to the users. The prototypes will be refined based on the feedback obtained. Two demonstrators are developed for use by two user communities (school children and business education).

Description of work

• T5.1: Specifying the implementation of the pilot. Detailed planning of the pilots (scheduling, participants, locations, personnel) is done based on the evaluation plan developed in WP4.
• T5.2: Preparation work with the user. Evangelisation & change management, presentation of the principle to the users’ organizations, and to the users (students and teachers) using workshops, training sessions, and online tools.
• T5.3: Space structuring and content population. The collaborative space will be structured and will be populated with pedagogical content based on existing materials. Two spaces will be created: one for use by school children, another for use in business education.
• T5.4: Deployment of the pilots. The learning materials will be used and evaluated according to the plan developed in WP4. Particular attention will be given to the early deployment of prototypes for early feedback collection (mechanisms for continuous collection of the feedback will be set-up).
• T5.5: Analysis of pilot studies. The experiences from the pilot are analysed in a joint workshop of the partners and representatives of the users.

Milestones and expected result

• M 5.1: The Specification of the implementation of the pilots have been completed – M12

• M 5.2: The pilots have been deployed (infrastructure + evangelisation in the two pilot sites) – M17

  • The evaluation of the pilot can start.

• M 5.3: Experiences from the pilots have been gathered, analysed and reported. – M22
