Theme: Relating the Identity Issues to the Real World

Presentation

 

 

Objectives:

 

The first objective of this 2nd workshop is pursue the work achieved in the first task of workpackage 2 of FIDIS T 2.1 Definition(s) of Identity (which aimed at better defining the concept of  “Identity”, via the identification and categorisation of the principal issues, definition of a share vocabulary of the domain), by relating these concept to the world (real world or prospective situations) in order to facilitate the comprehension of these concepts by the different actors of the domain (expert or non-experts).

A second objective will be present and to validate the work that has been achieved during this first task.

 

Call for Presentations and Discussion Panels:

 

Members of the FIDIS consortium (a limited number of slots for external guest speakers may be available) are invited to present their work, or to propose the organization of discussion panel on subjects related to the identity domain. The presenters are strongly encouraged to relate their presentation or panel to the definition of the concept of identity, and the better understanding of the domain.

 

Candidates for a presentation or for setting-up and chairing a panel discussion can send make a post in the Fidis WP2 bulletin board (conference proposals) (restricted access).

Indicative list of subjects for the presentations or Panel:

 

  • Presentations or discussions aiming at better defining some of the key aspects and themes related to the identity domain. (examples include privacy, anonymity, …)
  • Presentations or discussions related to the categorisation and clusterisation of the  identity domain
  • Presentation of cases, scenarios, story helping to better understand a particularly identity issue. (example: identity thief, money laundering, etc.). These cases will typically connect several concepts of the identity domain.
  • Prospective presentation or Panels related to the future of identity.
  • Presentation or panel contributing to improve the collaboration amongst the different actors in the Identity field and in particular across the different disciplines
  • Etc. (feel free to propose a topic that you believe contribute to a better understanding of the domain of identity, improve the communication in this domain).
